Psalm 25:5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery but be careful beautifuls. While it’s good to follow in the footsteps of role models and people who inspire you make sure that you’re following Jesus first. If we put our faith and trust in people alone we can end up facing our giants in ill fitting armour.
Remember how David attempted to put on the Kings armour to fight Goliath? King Saul tried to get David to fight the same way as he would have, but in actual fact David didn’t need to imitate the king to defeat Goliath. He just needed to trust God. God has made you as you are for a reason. Trust God to use you as you are, to guide you, to equip you and teach you as you walk with him.
Walking with Jesus everyday in everything you do is the only way you’ll truly be the real you, the best you, the incredible and most amazing you that you could ever be.
Ps. Just because it’s always been done one way, doesn’t mean that’s the way God designed you to complete the task, let him guide you, he designed you and knows exactly the way you can tackle any problem – together.
