Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Someone gave me this verse once when I was on the verge of a new adventure. I was just about to go to Nigeria and had talked to so many people who had told me I was going to be kidnapped or die… yes for real! Our words have so much power to plant seeds of love but also of doubt. Let’s be careful with them hey? This was the verse that planted my feet firmly back on the rock I believed in – Jesus! When God calls you somewhere it isn’t to harm you – believe it!  I wholeheartedly believe that we get given opportunities by God and huge dreams that seem miles too big so that we can grow in faith with him. He will never be the cause of your harm, He is always the source of your future, his plan is to let you grow, be more rooted in him and flourish in life. So no matter the situation he will use it for his glory, to show you how much he loves you, to help you grow and to show you that you have a hope in him, a certainty that he will be with you every step of the way home.  

P.s I wasn’t kidnapped or killed! It was one of the toughest adventures of my life – but he grew me.
